Booker T. Washington grew up in difficult circumstances but retained the vision of getting an education. Rather than feeling as a victim of difficult circumstances, he obtained an education and later went on to develop and grow a school in Tuskegee, AL with only minimal money and other resources. Instead of engaging in arguments and resentments, he chose to focus his energy on the vision of education. Among his many inspirational quotes is the one - “I shall allow no man to belittle my soul by making me hate him.”
